Additional Information – This is Sergeant Ken Sturmey’s famous SAS Regiment beret. Obviously this is his dress one. Apologies to old soldiers visiting the site as you must be horrified at us displaying it in this position. I know if you wore it like this you’d be on a charge
Old berets are normally found safe and sound with the family. The first ones were white (VERY SHORT LIVED), then Beige before changing to maroon at the latter part of the war.
Are there any photos of Ken in uniform that can be shown?

Sorry for the very late reply Jon but we’ve been having problems updating the site for a long time but we’re gradually getting there.
Unfortunately we haven’t come across any other photos of Ken other than the one in uniform and the resistance one. Presumably you knew Ken or knew of him.
