Additional Information – This is an article on page 183 from the Great Western Railway Magazine Vol. 57, No. 11 dated November 1945. The action referred to might have been when his section commanded by Captain Ian Wellsted attacked railway bridges and lines at Tamnay in France during “Operation Houndsworth”. Ken was involved with his mate Arthur (Art) Dray in blowing up a turntable adjacent to Tamnay station. He had explosives left over from the turntable and planted them in a row of goods wagons in the yard. The turntable and wagons were totally destroyed.
