This really is nostalga, how can I get a copy of this.I was 5.
I was amazed and delighted to come across your website by accident via Flickr. To then discover this photo of me in my first school class at the age of 5 was the icing on the cake.
They were happy times, but my memories of this school are few:
– I still remember many of the children in the Photo.
– The little folding beds – they made us lie on for a rest in the afternoon.
– Marching around the playground in a procession on Empire Day.
– Having to get the teacher to do up the back of my trouser braces after visiting the toilet. (which was in the playground.
– Buying miniature loaves of Hovis through the School railings at playtime from the ladies at the Bakers on the corner of Jennings Street and Rose Street.
– My mother bringing in a litter of puppies she had bred to show the class – we were all sitting in a circle on the floor of the Hall at the time.
– Soon after starting, walking to school on my own from the corner of Rodbourne Road and Linslade Street.
