Martin Collinson will deliver a talk about Florence Nightingale an iconic figure in the profession of nursing.  Florence Nightingale is considered a significant figure and the founder of modern nursing and Martin will illustrate her fight during the Crimean war to have nurses recognized by the medical profession in helping to transform the conditions of field hospitals which were filthy and unhygenic. Her continued fight has made her an example to nursing professions around the world.
