Morris Street was was named after its builder, W E Morris, who built several other streets in Rodbourne in the late 19th century. One of the first buildings to be built was the Morris Street Working Men’s Club. Some of the earliest terraces in Rodbourne, opposite the club, are marked on the 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map but their location is now a car park.
